ELF Studio line has great brushes for only $3 each. I would recommend the smudge brush, the contouring brush, the eye shadow brush and the small precision brush. I did the smokey look with this brushes and it look awesome!

Basically for eye makeup you will need a slanted cut square brush to apply powder to eyebrow %26amp; draw for cream eyeliners.





A fluffy flat dome brush to apply powder eyeshadow to whole eyelid


a compact square shape brush to apply colours more intensely.


A bullet shaped brush for softning lines of eyeliners


A thin brush for liquid eyeliner
If you want mac brushes, as starter, I suggest 239 (flat shader brush) and 217 (blending brush).





If you're on budget, there are bunch of other cheaper alternative brushes that works well also. Sonia Kashuk (target) blending brush is one of the best. E.L.F has great eye brushes also, for only $1. Essence of beauty brush is one of the best drugstore brushes out there too. Hope that helps! :)

E.L.F eye brushes are $1 and hear it's VERY GOOD, equivalent to Mac's I think.





U need an eyeshadow brush, blending brush, and crease brush.
Good quality- High end brushes are the KEY to awesome eye makeup! Or any makeup application for that matter.

well in my opinion it matters if you know how to put on the makeup. because you get different textures and looks by the way you hold the brush.


i think for getting a true color you should use mac makeup brushes, either one is good. doesnt matter. just make sure you get like eyeshadow brushes for eyeshadow. lol


you can get like cheaper ones that are still pretty good. you can get them at like target or like CVS. its like 3-10 dollars.

I really like the elf eyeshadow brush to pack on color then I use to blending brush to add other colors and blend.
MAC are the best because the bristles do not fall out.. not sure of the numbers but you should have an eyeshadow brush and a blender brush.. when you get to the counter the associate will show you.
